Please join us at the library on Saturday, March 15th at 10am for a Friends of the Plainfield Library meeting!

Although the Plainfield Library has had a Friends group for decades, it’s been mostly dormant for quite a while and we are starting the process of re-booting it and getting it going strong again!
This will be an introductory meeting to recruit members, let everyone know what a Friends of the Library group is all about, answer questions, and to get the ball rolling on updating our by-laws and installing club officers (we currently have a treasurer, but we’ll be looking for people willing to eventually fill the rolls of president, vice president, and secretary).

Participation in the Friends of the Library will be flexible and require a minimal time commitment. We’re currently anticipating only quarterly meetings- unless members decide they want to meet more often. In addition to the meetings, we’re hoping members can assist with our occasional fundraisers, which at this time primarily consists of 3 or 4 larger book and bake sales per year (although we would like to expand our fundraising efforts).

If you are interested in joining the Friends of the Library, but can’t make it to the meeting on March 15th, please give us a call, stop in, or send us a message and we’ll be sure to include you in future correspondence about the Friends.

Spread the word and join us this Saturday! Thank you! 🙂
