Seeking a new library board member!

Do you love the library? Do you want to be a part of a team that helps make sure the library remains a vibrant and valued part of the community for years to come? If you said yes, please consider volunteering to be on the Plainfield Library Board of Trustees!
There is currently one opening and to be eligible for this volunteer position, you must be a resident of the village of Plainfield, must be age 16 or older, and must be able to attend the monthly board meeting that occurs on the 3rd Monday of each month at the library starting at 6:30pm.
The main duties of a library board member (a.k.a. trustee), are to be willing to learn about laws and guidelines related to public libraries in order to help shape the policies at our library and to help promote and advocate for the library.
Take a look at the more detailed description of duties and application form below. Stop in to the library to pick up a copy, or give us a call if you'd like a copy emailed to you. And feel free to call Birdie at the library with any questions at 715-335-4523.
Spread the word and thanks for taking a look!
